TUDOR Pro Cycling Continues to Dare with New 2024 Team

Tudor Pro Cycling announces its brand new roster for 2024

Tudor Pro Cycling announces its brand new roster for 2024. Matteo Trentin, Alberto Dainese, Michael Storer, Marius Mayerhofer, Florian Stork, Alexander Krieger and Hannes Wilksch will be new addition to the team, bringing the total number of riders to 27.

The new additions are highlighted by former European Champion Matteo Trentin, two-time Giro stage winner Alberto Dainese, two-time Vuelta stage winner Michael Storer and the winner of this year’s Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race Marius Mayrhofer. These additions should help contribute to big results on every terrain, a logical next step for the team in its quest for World Tour status in 2026.

“The fact that we are able to attract that level of talent proves that our approach is working, and our values are shared within the peloton”, says Raphel Meyer CEO of Tudor Pro Cycling. “These riders will allow us to compete on all terrains on the highest level and enable us to attract invitations to WorldTour races.” The great mix between youth and experience is underlined by the further additions. 26-year old Florian Stork will add depth to the team’s climbing squad, 31-year old Alexander Krieger will be integral in both the lead-out and the team’s cobbled classics campaign, while Hannes Wilksch (21) will be the first of many riders coming through the ranks of the Tudor Pro Cycling Team’s Development Team. Six out of the seven new riders will join from WorldTour teams. “The new riders do not see our team as a step back but much more as an opportunity to grow and go at least three steps ahead in their career.”, Meyer emphasizes. “It is great to see that we were able to gain this level of trust and credibility in only eight months as a Pro Team.”

Former European Champion and 8-time Grand Tour stage winner Matteo Trentin joins from UAE Team Emirates and is excited about this new chapter in his illustrious career: "The team has a long-term plan and a clear vision”, he explains. “I am thrilled to be part of it in the next three years, to help this young team with my experience and fight for some great results in the world's biggest bike races."

The addition of Italian sprinter Alberto Dainese from Team dsm-firmenich will help the team to fight for more sprint victories in the coming years. For him personally, the team’s values had a lot to do with his decision: "To be able to make the next step in my career, I was looking for a team with a clear vision for me as a rider and a person. I am sure to find that with Tudor Pro Cycling and to be able to go for some great results in the next two years."

Team owner Fabian Cancellara is optimistic about the team’s future: “I am thrilled; these new riders will supercharge the team. But first and foremost, we are adding some great human beings to what is already a great group of guys.”

Before heading into the next season, the Tudor Pro Cycling Team’s current squad just returned from a two-week training camp in Switzerland and will be continuing to dare in races such as the Tour of Poland, the Tour of Denmark and the Deutschland Tour.

These additions are proof that the team’s approach is working: “The team has already been performing on a very high level. Ten wins so far are proof of that. To be able to add such great riders is just another confirmation that our vision is working and the team’s, the riders’ and the staff’s tireless work is paying off. We’re greatly anticipating the upcoming season!”
